This is a fantastic printer for the price. It's a very competent low cost small office printer. It's made for a small business setting but if you have a home setting where a lot of printing is done, such as kids with lots of projects and/or a home office this would do the trick too.
Comments:
- Fast: a max speed of 40 pages per minute due to an internal memory of 256MB and a 800MHz dual-core processor. Most of us in the home setting don't need such a speed. Typically we'd take even small jobs to the local copy shop. But with this printer you can keep these small print jobs at home. It's made to handle 7,200 pages per month.
-Double sided printing so you don't have to mess around with turning pages around.
-Has a huge paper tray so you don't have to keep reloading it.
-Network ready. It doesn't have it's own wi-fi like some more expensive printers however you can just connect this to your network with an ethernet cable.

Excellent monochrome laser printer
I tested this Lexmark MS410dn Monochrome Laser Printer using a USB connection initially before connecting it to my home network (like most printers nowadays, the usb and ethernet cables are not included, so you have to purchase your own if you don't already have them).
The printer has a relatively small footprint, but weighs almost 35 pounds. Setup was easy and took only a few minutes. The imaging unit is separate from the toner cartridge, so setup consisted mainly of situating these two components properly into the printer.
The standard paper input tray at the bottom can take up to 250 sheets of bond paper. The multipurpose feeder in the middle can be used for card, label, and envelope printing. The outputs come out facedown and collect at a recessed bin at the top of the printer and a pull-forward paper stop can keep them from sliding off the printer as they stack up.

You can connect this printer directly to your computer using a USB cable. I have it connected to our network using an Ethernet cable so all of our computers can access it.
According to the literature, the ink cost should be considerable lower than it is when to print black & white documents on an inkjet photo printer. The trade-off is that you pay more to initially buy the printer.
Overall, I'm very happy with this printer.
