Fabulous printer. Unbelievably awful warranty service.
I had an Oki Data C330dn printer for a long time. It got damaged and I decided to replace it with the C531dn, which is very similar but can print faster. I ended up buying it not from Amazon but directly from Oki Data, because at the time I couldn't find the 531dn offered on Amazon.

It is a really wonderful printer, easily the best page printer I have ever used. But there's a big asterisk: *

After it had printed about 20 pages it started telling me that two of the toner cartridges were empty. I knew that they weren't empty, but I couldn't convince the printer of this. It behaved badly. It would sometimes print, and sometimes not print, and sometimes would just get entrenched and tell me to replace those two toner cartridges. Or it would drop offline and refuse to respond to the button that would take it back online.

I spent a lot of time on the phone with Oki Data tech support in New Jersey, who eventually agreed with me that it was broken, and told me...

OKI color printers are excellent!

Excellent printer - quiet, fast, simple installation, and with some tweaking of the resolution settings, gives you almost photo quality prints.
This printer appears to be identical to the C331, but it isn't. The C531 allows use of high capacity toner cartridges, whereas the C331 does not

VERY quiet, fast, nice color

I have an HP 2025DN and the new OKI C531DN is much, much, much more quiet. It was easy to connect to an iMac with the included CD. (One note - It's easy to lose track of the little CD in all of the packaging. I did, but I finally found it. This was me, not OKI.) Without the CD you are lost, as there do not appear to be drivers online. The OKI website shows the printer, but not in all printer lists. Takes a reasonable amount of time to start over an ethernet iMac-to-router-to-printer connection. Then prints fast in color or B&W. It's so quiet that you can stand next to it and talk on the phone while it's printing. It's not great to be in the same room with the HP when it's printing. The OKI is silent in power-saver mode (and so is the HP).
