WOW...Exactly What I Was Needing For Duplex Printing
I do a lot of duplex printing, mostly for booklets and flyers for local volunteer clubs in my area. My old printer was an HP Officejet Pro 8600 and it did a great job, but the time involved waiting for a print job to finish was just killing me especially if you are printing a lot of copies.
But for those of you considering getting this printer for what I need it for, here is a time spec
(The output quality of this printer in general office (draft) is as good as the old printer in normal quality)
Old Printer - 10 page booklet - duplex printing - normal quality - 4.5 minutes to print.
New Printer - 10 page booklet - duplex printing - general office (draft) - 45 seconds to print !!!
This printer has a lot of options out the Wa-Zoo that I don't need, but have tried out, and work flawlessly. The only function that I can't checkout is the Fax because I don't have a land line. So in conclusion...all I can say is that this printer total surpasses all...
HP's TELEPHONE support is piss poor.
Printer came in the day after I placed the order, super fast shipping, 5 stars to the seller. Unfortunately as soon as I hooked it up the LCD panel displayed message " there is a problem with your printer or ink system, ..., contact HP". Called HP's support, the first guy had no clue, can't even tell the difference between a module number and a serial number, told me his name was Joey but won't give me his employee id, good hiring HP. Finally got hold of someone who knew his stuff and determined that the printer had hardware issues and HP will ship replacement on Monday. Well it's Wednesday afternoon now and no printer has yet show up on my door, called HP again to get the tracking number and was told these is no tracking number in their system yet for my order. Great Job HP, you have fallen so far from the good old LaserJet 4 days it's saddening.
Update#1:
As directed by HP tech to call back at 2pm Wednesday to obtain the tracking number and again still none is...
