I am a draftsman, I bought this printer about 6 months ago from HP w/ shipping & tax for $1200 total. It is not the best printer to print movie posters with, but for its price you cant go wrong. I've been using it for ArchD size paper. I print architectural drawings/blueprints for designers and contractors Its cheaper then running to staples, saves me time, money and keeps my clients happy. The cost I estimated comes out to abount 60 cents per 24x36 sheet with paper and ink for such drawings, depending on where you get your ink and paper from.

I've had this now for a couple of weeks and it's fantastic. It performs exactly as advertized. The prints are good/great quality and there are settings for quality vs. speed. I noticed some lines when printing large color graphics, but I guess that's to be expected. Perhaps setting it for highest quality/slowest speed will fix that.

I have the 24" roll and the 11x17" paper installed simultaneously. Somewhere I read that the roll has to be removed. Otherwise, it's more an issue with the software that you are printing from. So, no real complaints.

P.S. Use "Arch D" paper size to print on the full 24" roll.

I have always wanted a 24" inkjet printer to print large frameable family portraits, Large poster sized ads for my store, large 24 inch x ?? foot banners...etc. etc.

This printer works great, and has some very kule features. It can be easily connected to any wireless house router or ethernet cable, and the printer display will give you a private email address to mail jobs to. If you send a email to this address with a jpg file attachment for instance, the printer will print the jpg automatically. I have email printed from my smartphone, and from my work notebook with no problems. Because it is network connected, it automatically updates its own firmware when new versions are released by HP.

The is not a commercial strength printer, but the printer case construction is thick, with well designed plastic. The LCD display is touch sensitive, so the menus are easy to navigate. Ink cartridges are super easy to replace on the front, no need to open the innerds. The...
