Amazing Printer

I have owned this printer for 5 years, and it still works as good as new. The printer has an amazing speed of 26 ppm, and has the best quality I have ever seen. It is very easy to set up, and is a decent size for such a wonderful printer. The toner is a fair price for 15000 pages. I print MANY thing EVERY day and I have to only change my toner once ever 3 YEARS! I strongly recommend this printer.

Great start, but its been downhill ever since...

We purchased this printer about 14 months ago based on the decent on-line reviews and the low ink costs. The machine had performed flawlessly for about 6 months, printing over 90,000 pages of newsletters, proposals, and presentations, when we had to replace almost all of the internals. Once we started replacing things, it started to get ugly. Fortunately, the first round was still under warranty, so Ricoh comped new PCU's for the machine, but since then the print quality has suffered. We get banding, and for presentations and proposals, this is a non-starter. We now find ourselves having to either replace all the internals (at a cost of about 70% of a new machine) or just go out and buy a new one. Overall, only three stars - it printed well up to the end of its warranty.
