A good FORMS printer for the price
I have bought 7 of the 2581 model printer for the company. This is the first "n" version (network) I bought but I don't use that aspect in our network configuration so I can't address that option.
But I can review the printer other then that. I took 1 star off because this printer "eats ribbons" so keep a good stock of them. I also have to say along with that, that we use a 5 part form and that puts a great strain on the ribbon because the fanfold of the form wants to catch in the opening of the plastic shield of the ribbon where the pins fire thru. If you are using less then a 5 part form, you may not have the problem. The printer is rated for a 5 part form but it is at the top of the design limits.
Now I must say this, I needed it ASAP, paid for a Saturday delivery and all went as it should. BUT this one was DOA. Not Amazon's fault and the only one I had bought out of the 7 that arrived dead. Still, I have a department without a printer.
