great stroller

really love this stroller, we needed a double stroller and if you are in the same boat you know your options are somewhat limited. The stroller is expensive but it is well built and will hold up for many years for our children. Orbit has excellent customer service which is one reason why I chose this stroller. Women of smaller build may have a hard time as this stroller and accessories are heavy. If your going to be in and out of the car all day with the kids you might want to consider buying a cheap light weight stroller as it is easier to handle.

Great system with areas to improve

Overall I'm very happy about the purchase. People stop me to ask about the stroller all the time. The skateboards, the double stroller part, they love it. Things to improve:

The plastic levers on the baby car seat: they break after 9 months of use. The funny thing is, you can't take it off the stroller base. When I called, the rep said I have to throw away the whole thing. They sent me a replacement stroller base and car seat with no wheels and no storage basket (Smart on their part!)

I traveled internationally 3 times in this 9 month. The stroller base cracked. The crack is located next to the aluminum bar where you need to grab it to fold. The fabric on the storage area is not sturdy enough. It has multiple holes already. So I have to order a new one which is $90 with shipping.

Just for the fun of it, it's worth it. And I like to support this company. I also feel obligated to give a complete review so people are informed.

Love the double helix! But love G1 as well
I have had my G1 stroller, Infant & Toddler car seat, and bassinet for 4 years now - and I still LOVE it! This thing has taken me and my little ones all around town, traveling around the country and accross Europe on not one, but MANY occasions. I love the detachable pod, especially for travelling - stroll with it up to security - pop it out to go through xray, stroll to the gate, take off the car seat to use on the plane, check the stroller (go for the stroller bag - totally worth it!), take car seat and the cargo pod on the plane (cargo pod makes a nice little diaper bag that stores under the seat). So easy!

I am currently using all the pieces with my new little one, it's still a solid investment. I have never had a single thing break. Still using the same tires - covers, everything. Just washed up the covers again and they still look brand new!

Like a previous reviewer, I would love for Orbit to make a way to upgrade the G1 to the double helix - that is...
