I like it - but there are serious toner considerations
So far, the Lexmark MS310dn has been an easy to use, fast and high quality printer. The biggest plusses:

1. Easy to install via home network (no need to use the USB)
2. Fast printing with typical laser quality
3. Nice paper capacity (250 sheets)
4. Auto duplex printing (that works well)
5. Firmware update executes without a hitch

The one thing I am not sure about is the Lexmark return program for the toner. From what I gather, the cartridge is set to print only a certain number of pages before it expires. So Far, a GREAT Printer!

I've been using laser printers since the HP LaserJet II (actually still have a LJ 4 in one office!), and have a pretty clear set of wants in such a printer:

-reliable
-easy to operate
-easy set up
-fast, including first page
-handle large files
-good paper capacity
-NO paper jams

So far (three days' usage) the LexMark MS310dn does all this and more!

Pros:
-Easy set up and operation
-reasonably fast
-No paper jams as of yet
-so far, has printed everything I have thrown at it.

Cons:
-"Real world" toner price unknown at this point (the rated capacities of a cartridge are meaningless

What it is not:
-a multifunction (printer/scanner/fax) device
-color
-wireless

In sum, It is really a mid-level printer for an office (or home) that wants black and white, 81/2 x 11, double sided output.
