Nice Lightweight Stroller
I took my G-Lite for a full day trip to NYC today and I'm overall very impressed with it. My trip involved two New Jersey Transit trains, a subway ride, and a long walk.
Pros:
Super lightweight. At 4 months pregnant I was able to carry my 25lb son (in an Ergo Carrier), my backpack diaper bag, and the stroller up the train steps with no problem.
Easy unfold. A lot of umbrella strollers I looked at involved annoying levers and clips. The G-Lite flops open with the release of one clip and locks into place by stepping on one foot petal.
Generous storage (for an umbrella stroller). I fit my ergo carrier and my diaper bag in the storage net. The diaper bag didn't completely fit but the shoulder strap (which runs down the center back of the stroller) doubles as a luggage strap keeping oversized items contained.
Handles like a dream. I was able to steer it with one hand, pop over curbs, navigate gaps between the train and the station platform, and walk at a NYC...
Clearly an improvement over the G-luxe for older infants and toddlers
Update 6/2014:
We have now taken this stroller on a handful of trips, including a 2-week-long European vacation. It's held up extremely well to being thrown around as checked luggage, crammed into the back of vehicles, and walked at least a couple hundred miles. It's light enough for two adults to lift it, fully loaded with toddler and gear, down flights of Paris Metro stairs, and substantial enough that the ride is solid and stable. The seat is really at the perfect angle, upright enough for my son to comfortable look around but with enough give that he can sleep comfortable (which he did a lot of on our day-long excursions). There's a carry strap in the back in case you need it, and the basket it big enough for at least a diaper bag, a soft structured carrier, and maybe some groceries. We also used this as a sort of luggage cart to and from the airport on the train (while my son was in a carrier), with a carseat in the seat area and with a couple carry-on bags too. When...
