Almost very well designed.
Pros and Cons:
- Very attractive design.
- Most materials feel decidedly top-shelf (exception: the locking extension arms that appear on both sides of the canopy that lock it into an open position).
- Most mechanisms are well engineered (exception: wheels squeak LOUDLY after a month or so off use. this is annoying enough to make me entirely question the logic of this purchase. I've just applied silicone lubricant to the axles as best I can - the wheels are non-customer-removable). Called customer service and was told I'd have to ship the stroller to NYC/Connecticut. We'll see how this works out). Another exception: minor point, perhaps, but when I'm walking (and I walk at a fast clip) the front wheels wobble side to side quite a bit. This wobbling doesn't create any noise or impact the ride quality in any perceptible way, but it just doesn't look correct. Fabulous stroller, never looking back.
if you're looking for a solid, stylish, lightweight stroller that has a fully upright position (many strollers are still reclined even when upright) and a large extendable sunshade. And if you want only one stroller throughout the years. I wish I got this at the beginning. I've had two strollers and researched/tried out many different strollers before finally buying the Maclaren XT. This stroller met all of our needs and we use it everyday and everywhere. It's awesome!
Oh, the XT 2012 is almost identical to the 2013 one (I tried them both) but it's on sale now. I even got an extra discount on Amazon so I can't be happier with the purchase!
