Solidly built, great print quality, excellent for card stock
I purchased the Oki C610n color laser for $399 from Amazon after considering color lasers from Xerox Phaser and Lexmark to replace the Lexmark C510n that I had been using for the last five years.
Relative to my old printer, the C610n is a bit larger but the main reason for that is also behind what I like the most about the C610n -- the straight through paper path. One of my main needs is a color laser that will print on card stock well and the Oki handles paper up to 250 gsm which is higher than the competition. Best is that when you open the front multi-purpose loader and open up the back exit tray heavier media like heavyweight card stock never has the opportunity to curl or jam the way it did with my Lexmark.
Other pros are slightly lower consumables cost (especially relative to Xerox), 256MB memory, fast print speed, and I'm quite happy with the quality of both black text and color output for my needs (although if you primarily want to print photos, go for an...

I have a custom printing business and have gone through 5 printers in 1.5 years before this one. I've had it now for 6 months, and it's at 30k pages printed (all the others were retired or thrown away at 10k). The color is great, print quality is great. It's also good to have separate imaging units from the toner (found that out in a different printer).
The toner is a fair price, I have started using the re-manufactured and haven't had a problem (at half the cost!). And better yet the imaging units are a fair price. My last one was a konica minolta and the imaging units cost twice as much as the new printer! -that printer got donated, and continues to annoy the new owner.
The back exit is great for printing on heavy card stock, as well as waterproof stickers that like to jam if they curl too much.
The only design flaw is the toner setup. Every time you replace one it ends up dripping toner on the inside (usually just a few specks). I suspect this is because...
