A few gotchas but still a great stroller
I had the Britax B-Agile (single) stroller with my first born and loved it. Unfortunately, the double version stroller was not carried in any of the stores locally so we purchased it on faith that it would work for us. For the most part, we love this double stroller. We have a newborn and a toddler, so we are using the Britax B safe carseat with the stroller.
Here are the things I love about the Britax double:
1) Easy to collapse and put away. Just press the button on the side, and pull on the handles on the seats and the whole thing folds down.
2) Fairly light. 30 lbs is probably my upper limit for lifting and I can get the stroller in and out of the trunk without straining myself. This was probably the most important factor, other than #1, ease of use.
3) Huge canopy shades. Same as the Britax B-Agile single strollers.
4) Maneuverability--easy to push and turn. Not necessarily with one hand like some of the online videos show, but it's perfectly...
Best side by side for the size
Pros:
- One handed steering works great with my toddler and infant (when my 6 year old gets in- tho she's too heavy for it)-it doesn't maneuver as well with one hand)
-Easier to get stuff out of front of basket than back
- folds great- large but easily
- fits through all doors I have encountered
- harness clips together easily
- harness adjusts easily
- cheaper than city mini
- pushes better than city mini
- has one handed push and city mini does not
Cons:
- car seat adapter doesn't work well but if you buy the cup holder/tray you can rig the car seat on it facing forward.
- tray is way to far away from seat for my toddler to reach it with 4 point harness on
- the clip that holds it closed often sticks when trying to open it quickly.
Overall great, good value, with some "buts"
I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old, searching a stroller for walking around the neighborhood, shopping, zoos and theme parks. Definitely no jogging planned. The other strollers I considered at the time were the City Mini, City Mini GT, Bumbleride Indie Twin. I am not sporty enough for a BOB. Overall, I think it's a great value for the price, and you get a City GT-like stroller, a little less roomy for the kid and without fancy wheels.
Assembly: Really easy! Basically pop on the wheels.
Look: The color is more of a greenish-blue. It looks like a bright turquoise on my computer. I feel that "peacock" is a great description. What bothers me is that the seats seem to angle down on the outer edges. On the first use, a slight amount of blue color rubbed off on my baby's clothes.
