This printer is AMAZING. I'm printing CD booklets on premium 8x11 28lb paper and it's flawless. I'm printing my art portfolio in 11x17 and then cutting it with a paper cutter to 11x14 and it is wonderful! I can print test copies and go back and fix mistakes without paying another company. I can do it all from home. This is, without a doubt, one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.
Pros: You can do portfolio printing yourself in large sizes! It also very closely matches the colors on the computer screen. You can always change the monitor settings to match the printer output, but this printer matches my Macbook Pro so closely that I didn't have to change anything. It has wifi which is perfect. Contrary to the other review, It holds quite a stack of paper in the back holding area. It does not, however, have a bottom try that hold a ton of paper like some other printers do. Excellent Printer
This printer is so good that it is difficult to know where to begin my accolades. It is a lot smaller than I expected, even a lot shorter in height than standard printers. Of course, its footprint is larger than a regular printer, but not by much. It is mainly a little wider than a regular printer. I'm really impressed how diminutive it appears. Canon's engineers did an excellent design job on this printer.
Setup was very easy. I used the WPS button on my wireless router and it linked almost instantly. At first I thought it must not have worked because it happened so quickly. I did not connect it via a USB cable. I'm not much of a fan of the junky L shaped desktop icon - uses up a lot of space with several icons of dubious value. I may delete it later.
You are limited to only one paper size at a time, but that's not such a big deal considering the range of print sizes you can create. I printed a 4X6 inch print, an 8.5X11 and 13X19 inch prints. That's pretty...
Another excellent Canon Printer
This printer, the "Canon Office Products IX6820 Wireless Inkjet Business Printer" assembled very easily and it was a breeze to set up wireless, too. Inserted the disk and there was no problem, at all, done. It was that easy. You can place the printer practically anywhere and do without cable clutter.
The color inks, 4 separate tanks supplied are of a dye base and the 5th tank is the black, pigment based (which is bigger than the other cartridges for obvious reasons), all of which are very easily installed but using these inks may wind up being expensive; just something to be considered by some. I tested the printer's capability on both a black and white and a color photo, on an 8x11 metallic satin paper and there's good contrast and excellent detail with the black and white and the colors, too, which are exceptional as well; typical of the Canon PIXMA printers.
It's a fast printer, too, getting the job done quickly, and I haven't found it to be excessively loud,...
