Works well

I had no issues getting my hooked up to my wireless network. I like that I can now save some money vs. Inkjet printing on my work paperwork (which I have a ton of.) I have had mine for 2 months now and I haven't had to replace the ink cartridge yet. On my old printer I changed it about every 3 weeks.

The only thing I don't like about this is the paper drawer. It holds a lot of paper, which is awesome but it seems a little flimsy when opening and closing. As long as it doesn't ever break I don't care. Just a concern.

Fantastic for small business/office use

To put it simply, this thing delivers effortlessly. I've never had any jams or issues. Although, I did struggle a bit with setting up the wireless connection with all my devices. However, once I called Brother's customer service department, they walked me through the process.

I did a lot of research because this unit was going to be used in my home office. Since the day I purchased this machine( ~June 2013) until now (March '14) I have printed somewhere along the lines of 1k-1,500 sheets of paper without any trouble.

As far as power/noise goes, the machine is absolutely silent when not in use. I believe it does take some juice when printing b/c I've noticed that the lights in my office get slightly dimmer when the machine is running. However, this all is insignificant when you are going through your day–to–day office activities.

fast and love. call brother tho--to set up on a mac osx 10.9

it works great and is fast :) i printed 2 years of bank statements for my taxes in like 10 min. :) thank you awesome laser printer :) ohhhh the double sided printing is cool too. it freaked me out at first bc it sucks the paper back in and then spits it back out with both sides printed :) cool :)

HOW TO SET UP...yes if you buy this printer and have osx 10.9 mavericks this is difficult to set up on your own.
the drivers that come with it are only for osx previous to mavericks.

call brother don't even bother doing it yourself. it's complicated. however set up is fast over the phone and their customer service is excellent. it took 20 minutes over the phone.

don't try and set it up by yourself with a mac. especially if you have airport express. it doesn't see the printer even when airport express says it's looking for it. the brother ppl will connect it for you over the net. provided you're already online. after that tho it works great and is fast :)
